Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in risk management, insurance or related field.
• At least one internship or equivalent work experience.
• Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills with attention to detail.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Learn underwriting fundamentals through hands-on work with experienced underwriters.
• Support quoting and binding activities under supervision to start.
• Partner with brokers and internal colleagues to support underwriting workflows.
• Maintain underwriting file quality and data hygiene, tracking exposures and decisions.
• Practice disciplined, guided decision-making aligned with guidelines and portfolio strategy.
• Use Excel and core underwriting systems to analyze accounts and build analytical skills.
