Job summary

Everforth Apex Systems in Alexandria, VA is seeking a Junior (UAM) User Activity Monitoring / Insider Threat Analyst to triage alerts, analyze incidents, and report findings in a case management system.

The role requires TS/SCI eligibility, Sec+ CE, 1+ year in incident response and insider threat, 4+ years total experience, and US citizenship for DoD clearance. This is a 6-month contract to permanent hire with full benefits and growth opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Triage, analyze, and assess alerts; document findings in a case management system.
• Share information with impacted parties for follow-on analysis.
• Deploy, maintain, and tune countermeasures against insider threat TTPs.
• Coordinate with Law Enforcement and Counter Intelligence as needed.
• Triage UAM alerts and document findings for reporting.
• Provide information to UAM lead for customer trending and reporting.
• Create countermeasures against known adversarial TTPs.
• Support meetings where UAM representation is needed.
• Offer recommendations to leadership to improve the UAM program.

Job Requirements:

• 1+ Years of (UAM) User Activity Monitoring or Insider Threat Experience
• 4 Years of Overall Work Experience
• Must be a U.S. citizen able to obtain and/or maintain a Department of Defense security clearance as a condition and continuation of employment.

Job Responsibilities:

• UAM analysts triage, analyze, and assess alerts and document and report findings through a case management system.
• Information is further shared with impacted parties for follow-on analysis.
• The UAM team continually deploys, maintains, and tunes countermeasures in response to new or changing insider threat tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs).
• Coordinating with external organizations, especially Law Enforcement and Counter Intelligence.
• Triage and analyze UAM alerts.
• Document and report findings to impacted organizations.
• Provide information to the UAM lead for customer trending and reporting.
• Create and implement countermeasures to specific weaknesses against known adversarial TTPs.
• Support meetings where UAM representation is needed.
• Provide recommendations to contractor and government leadership on ways to improve the UAM program.
