Job summary

VHB is seeking an entry-level Transportation Engineer (2027 graduate) for our I-64 offices in Virginia Beach, Richmond, or Williamsburg. You will work on highway design, interchanges, and multimodal projects with public, private, and institutional clients.

Ideal candidates have a BS in Civil Engineering, 0–1 year of related experience, and an EIT/EI preference or ability to obtain within six months. The role offers a competitive base salary and a flexible hybrid work environment.

Qualifications

• BS in Civil Engineering required.
• 0-1 year of professional transportation engineering experience preferred.
• EIT/EI preferred, or ability to obtain within 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with VHB staff, clients, and consultants to advance projects in a timely manner.
• Assist in development of planning and engineering solutions.
• Assist in data mining and visualization.
• Perform analysis of data or calculations.
• Perform field data collection and other on-site project support activities.
• Prepare written documents, summarize information collected by others, and assemble reports.
