Job summary
Vanasse Hangen Brustlin Inc. (VHB) seeks an entry-level Transportation Engineer to join our I-64 offices in Virginia Beach, Richmond, and Williamsburg. The position targets 2027 graduates with 0–1 year of transportation engineering experience.
You will support planning and engineering tasks, data collection, and analysis within a collaborative, hybrid environment. You will develop planning solutions, analyze data, and prepare reports, contributing to multimodal and highway projects while growing
Qualifications
- BS in Civil Engineering required.
- 0-1 year of professional transportation engineering experience.
- EIT/EI preferred, or the ability to obtain within 6 months.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with numerous VHB staff, clients, and consultants to advance projects in a timely manner
- Assist in development of planning and engineering solutions
- Assist in data mining and visualization
- Perform analysis of data or calculations
- Perform field data collection and other on-site project support activities
- Prepare written documents, summarize information collected by others, and assemble reports
