Job summary

Kleinfelder is seeking a highway design engineer in Delaware. This in-office role supports transportation projects under guidance from an experienced project engineer or manager, with assignments across the Dover or New Castle locations.

The candidate will perform design tasks, prepare documents for advertisement and construction, and assist with cost estimates. A BSCE and strong communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• BSCE from ABET accredited engineering program.
• EIT Certification preferred.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills are required.
• Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office, MicroStation and Inroads or Geopak desired.
• Experience with project delivery of State Agency Transportation Departments.

Responsibilities

• Perform engineering tasks in the transportation and highway design field per design criteria, standards and processes.
• Work on multiple design projects and assist in preparing engineering documents for advertisement and construction and construction cost estimates.
• Contribute to cost estimates and project delivery in highway/transportation projects.
