Job summary

Kleinfelder's Delaware team is seeking candidates for highway design on transportation projects, working under an experienced project engineer or project manager. This in-office position is based in Dover or New Castle, DE.

The role involves applying design criteria, preparing documents for ad and construction, and assisting with cost estimates across multiple projects. 0–3 years of design experience is typical for this entry-level opportunity.

Qualifications

• BSCE from ABET-accredited program is required.
• EIT certification preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills required.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, MicroStation and InRoads/Geopak desired.
• Experience delivering State Agency Transportation projects.

Responsibilities

• Assist in highway design for transportation projects under guidance of a project engineer/manager.
• Prepare engineering documents for advertisement and construction and cost estimates.
• Work on multiple design projects and support project teams.
• Coordinate with internal disciplines to ensure design quality and compliance.
