Job summary

The City of Peoria, Arizona is seeking a Traffic Operations & Systems Analyst to design, analyze, maintain and operate the Citywide traffic signal timing and control system, ensuring safe and efficient movement of vehicles and pedestrians.

Under direction, you will plan and implement systems and procedures for traffic signal operations, contributing to optimum circulation and city transportation goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil/traffic engineering or related field.
• Four years of oversight of a municipal traffic signal control system or equivalent experience.
• Ability to plan, design, and implement traffic signal operations.

Responsibilities

• Plan, designs and implements systems and procedures to control traffic signal operations throughout the City.
• Ensure optimum circulation of vehicular and pedestrian traffic.
