Vanasse Hangen Brustlin Inc. (VHB) invites applications for an Entry-Level Traffic Engineer - 2027 Graduate in its Transportation Planning & Operations group in MA locations Watertown or Worcester.

You will join a team of planners and engineers on municipal, state, higher-education, healthcare, and federal projects. The role emphasizes multimodal analyses, traffic safety, travel demand studies, and conceptual street designs, with opportunities to grow through training and mentorship.

Qualifications

• BS or MS in Civil Engineering.
• 0-1 years of professional transportation planning, engineering, or consulting experience.
• EIT preferred.
• Experience with AutoCAD, Synchro, Vissim, HCS, and/or ArcGIS is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop traffic and transportation planning and engineering solutions, especially in urban areas.
• Conduct multimodal studies, safety analyses, travel demand analyses, and intersection/LOS analyses.
• Research transportation data, zoning ordinances, demographics; prepare planning documents and reports.
• Collect traffic and parking data; develop and evaluate traffic improvements.
• Produce roadway, intersection, and multimodal street designs at a preliminary engineering level.
