Job summary

Textron Systems is seeking an entry-level Tool Engineer in Wichita, KS, to design tooling for aircraft components and assemblies. You will participate in cross-functional tooling projects, develop fabrication methods, and help optimize processes for quality and cost reduction.

The role requires a BS in Mechanical/Manufacturing/Industrial Engineering and less than 2 years of relevant experience, with a focus on teamwork, communication, and problem-solving.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering (or related field).
  • Less than 2 years of professional experience in a relevant role.

Responsibilities

  • Create electronic and physical tool designs.
  • Lead and participate in cross-functional tooling projects for product and process improvements.
  • Create tool designs, fabrication methods, and tool string coordination for new aircraft.
  • Observe and analyze current tool fabrication methods; recommend improvements.
  • Develop tool designs that optimize human factors and comply with OSHA standards.
  • Support product lines with tooling investigations for maintenance and repair.
