Job summary

TSMC Washington, LLC in Camas, WA is seeking a proactive Junior Equipment Engineer for our Thin Film Equipment (TFE) team, specializing in CVD tools. You will help maintain tool availability, optimize maintenance, and support 24/7 cleanroom semiconductor manufacturing.

This role offers hands-on training from senior engineers, collaboration with process engineers on modifications, and the creation of SOPs while following strict EHS procedures.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field.
• 0–2 years in equipment maintenance, cleanroom manufacturing, or related labs/internships.
• Experience in cleanroom manufacturing is preferred.
• Familiarity with vacuum systems, RF power delivery, gas delivery/MFCs, thermal controls, robotics, or pneumatic systems.
• Familiarity with data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, SPC) and basic statistics.

Responsibilities

• Maintain CVD tools and respond to alarms to minimize downtime.
• Monitor tool health, particle performance and SPC charts.
• Assist with equipment modifications, parts qualification and recipe implementations.
• Help develop SOPs and maintenance checklists, ensuring compliance with EHS.
• Work inside the cleanroom wearing PPE and support 24/7 fab operations.
