Job summary

TSMC Washington is seeking a detail-oriented CMPEquipment Engineer to join our engineering team in Camas, WA. You will work in a high-volume, state-of-the-art CMP and automated handling environment, troubleshooting today’s equipment and contributing to continuous improvements.

You will install, hook-up, and accept new tools, identify improvements to raise Equipment KPI, and develop training materials for maintenance tasks. A strong communicator excels in cross-functional teamwork.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or 8+ years CMP Semiconductor experience.
• Proven ability to assimilate complex technical information with leadership potential.
• Strong communication and teamwork in a high-volume manufacturing environment.
• Detail‑oriented with a hands‑on approach to problem solving.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, maintain, and improve CMP and automated handling equipment.
• Assist with equipment installation, hook‑up, and acceptance.
• Identify opportunities to improve Equipment KPI and cost savings ideas.
• Perform high‑level troubleshooting on robotics, mechanical, pneumatic, chemical, and electrical systems.
• Create training materials for maintenance tasks and SOPs.
• Utilize RTM, SPC, Parts Tracking System, and related systems.
