Job summary

Fourth Floor in New York City is seeking a Junior Designer to join our team and contribute to bedding and bath product design. You will design products, collaborate with sales and buying teams, and work closely with Bedding or Bath Designers to develop artwork, layout, color, and repeats.

The role requires a design degree and hands-on experience with weaving, fabrics, and colorings, plus proficiency in Photoshop, Illustrator, and Excel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Design/Textile Design or related field.
• 1–3+ years of home design experience.
• Experience with weaving and fabric dye processes.
• Strong computer skills in Adobe Photoshop/Illustrator and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Design bedding or bath products as assigned.
• Create presentations for internal/external meetings with sales/buying teams.
• Collaborate with Bedding/Bath Designers on artwork needs (concepts, layouts, repeats, colorings).
• Communicate with vendors to finalize product designs.
• Create design specs and standards for production.
• Maintain design file system for ongoing projects.
• Update Product Manager on status of design projects.
• Review/approve samples to meet shipping deadlines.
• Stay current on design trends.
