Job summary

Textron Systems in Hunt Valley, MD seeks a Test Engineer I to support unmanned surface vehicle programs. You will design, develop, and execute tests for hardware, software, and systems to ensure quality and reliability.

You will create test plans, write test cases, identify defects, and collaborate with developers and program teams to drive fixes and improvements. Travel up to 25% and security clearance considerations apply.

Qualifications

• 0–2 years demonstrated project leadership experience preferred.
• Experience with hardware and/or software integration, managing requirements derivation and allocation, or architecture design.
• Testing and integrating new technology into Ground Vehicle products throughout the lifecycle.
• Executing test engineering tasks including requirements analysis, design review support, validation planning, test, verification, risk management, and engineering analysis.
• Present test engineering work products to internal review teams and external customers.

Responsibilities

• Design, development, and execution of tests for hardware, software, and systems to ensure quality and reliability.
• Create test plans, write test cases, identify defects, and collaborate with development teams for fixes.
• Test planning, design, and procedures definition based on requirements.
• Write test scripts for functional, performance, security tests, etc.
• Run tests, monitor processes, and manage controlled testing environments.
• Defect management and reporting using bug trackers.
• Collaborate with developers, process engineers, and management to ensure quality standards.
• Prepare and present test engineering work products to internal reviews and external customers.
• Interact daily with program managers, planners, technicians, and other engineers.
• Travel up to 25% and operate with supervisory mentoring when needed.
