Red Hat, Inc. is seeking a Junior Territory Sales Executive to drive revenue growth through strategic partnerships and new business opportunities.
The role starts with a structured 12‑month onboarding program (FASTER) to develop advanced sales techniques, partner ecosystem expertise, and territory management skills. You will learn to engage in demand generation planning, build relationships with customers and channel partners, and progress opportunities toward revenue growth.
As part of the account team, the Junior Territory Sales Executive is a results oriented professional focused on driving revenue and new business. The role of a Junior Territory Sales Executive is to understand customer needs and leverage our partner network to deliver high impact RedHat solutions that drive business transformation. In other words, a Junior Territory Sales Executive at RedHat can be you… Do you thrive on uncovering new business opportunities and driving revenue growth through strategic partnerships? If so this is your chance to launch your career at the cutting edge of enterprise open source!
During your first year as a Junior Territory Sales Executive, you’ll participate in the FASTER Program, Field Accelerator for Sales and Technical Emerging Roles (we do love a good acronym), a comprehensive 12‑month onboarding and development program designed to provide you with advanced sales strategies, partner ecosystem expertise, and territory management skills needed to excel. You’ll gain hands‑on experience with demand generation planning, learn from seasoned sales leaders, and contribute to revenue growth and new customer acquisition from day one. During your first year, you will focus on mastering the landscape and building a foundation. Following this period, the role evolves into a full‑cycle commercial position. We are looking for individuals who are eager to graduate into a performance‑driven compensation model—one that trades a traditional fixed ceiling for significant, uncapped upside based on your ability to deliver results. This cohort‑based program starts in September 2026.
Through this experience, you will:
Support the sales organization’s goals to drive new customer acquisition, accelerate deal cycles by leveraging channel incentives, and maximize revenue growth within the territory.
Passion and curiosity for open source technology and desire to build a career in enterprise software sales.
Foundational business or sales skills gained through university programs (Business Administration, Marketing, Communications), internships, retail sales, or relevant work experience.
Demonstrated experience applying analytical, organizational, and goal setting skills in a professional or academic setting.
Motivation to engage in self‑directed learning, specifically regarding sales methodologies, market trends, and the RedHat portfolio.
General familiarity with the concept of open source or cloud computing; prior exposure to RedHat products (RHEL, Ansible) is a plus, but a willingness to learn is essential.
Desire to be partner and customer‑focused, with an aptitude for building relationships and understanding business needs.
Willingness to travel to customer sites depending on assignments and to work both in‑person from a RedHat office location and remotely.
Effective communication (written and verbal) and presentation skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively with internal teams and and external channel partners.
Basic familiarity with data or CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce, Google Sheets/Excel) is a plus, but not required.
Full professional proficiency in written and spoken English.
Unparalleled Onboarding and Development: Set yourself up for long‑term success through our structured 12‑month program, which provides you with dedicated mentorship, hands‑on sales enablement, real‑world Commercial experience, and exposure to sales strategic demand generation planning.
Impactful Work: Contribute to solutions that empower businesses worldwide and shape the future of open source.

Career Growth: Take advantage of opportunities for continuous learning and career advancement within a global leader.
Note: These benefits are only applicable to fulltime, permanent associates at RedHat located in the United States.
