Job summary

Haggar is seeking an early-career Associate Technical Designer to join our Men's Pants team in Dallas. This role offers hands-on development and mentorship as you grow from samples to full production in a global product environment.

You will learn patternmaking, construction, and data management, working with Design, Product Development, Sourcing, and factory partners to ensure fit, quality, and timely delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Apparel Design, Technical Design, Product Development, Fashion Design, or a related field.
• Recent graduate or 1–2 years of experience in apparel technical design, product development, pattern making, or related role.
• Foundational understanding of garment construction, measurements, specifications, fit, and pattern-making principles.
• Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and Microsoft Excel; interest in advancing specialized skills.
• Strong organization, accuracy, curiosity, and follow-through; able to manage details.

Responsibilities

• Support garment fittings by preparing samples, capturing fit observations, measuring garments, and documenting corrections.
• Evaluate development samples for measurements, fit, construction, and sewing quality under senior guidance.
• Translate styling intent into clear technical directions with Design and Product Development.
• Follow issues through resolution and raise questions when guidance is needed.
• Develop working knowledge of fabrics, trims, and sewing methods that affect fit and performance.
