Job summary

KBR in Chantilly, VA is seeking a Systems Engineer to support the SIGINT-focused SPO in protecting national security. You will guide system engineering across the life cycle for space systems, payloads, and ground command and control elements, delivering robust solutions.

The role emphasizes requirements management, interface definitions, and collaboration with government customers to evaluate proposals and drive architectural changes.

Qualifications

• Active/Current TS/SCI with Polygraph required.
• Bachelor’s degree in STEM with 10+ years in relevant experience.
• Experience with JSMART tool suite.
• Understanding of DoD/IC satellite systems and architectures.
• Experience in DoD/IC space systems acquisition, sustainment and PM processes.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Analytical capabilities in systems engineering and baseline control.
• Ability to work in fast-paced government/contractor teams.

Responsibilities

• Manage configuration baseline via control boards and reviews.
• Institute control processes to document baselines and changes.
• Prepare deviations, waivers, and RFCs for government approval.
• Submit engineering changes and maintain records and reports.
• Identify impacts on new capabilities across interfaces.
• Prepare configuration verification audit record sheets.
• Coordinate review schedules with the government customer.
