Job summary

Array Technologies in Chandler, AZ seeks a Systems Engineer to support the Research and Technology team focused on next generation solar tracking systems. You will assist in evaluating load resistance, stability, and performance of mechanical and structural systems, applying engineering principles and helping develop methods and tools.

You will work with a systems engineering team, collaborating with component, sustaining, and performance engineers.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering required.
0 to 2 years of relevant experience; internships or academic projects accepted.
Basic understanding of statics and dynamics and mechanical systems.
Exposure to FEA or simulation tools through coursework or internships.
Exposure to programming or scripting (Python) preferred but not required.
Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
Ability to follow structured processes and engineering procedures.
Effective written and verbal communication; team-oriented.

Responsibilities

Assist with data collection, analysis, and interpretation of test results.
Help correlate test data with engineering models to improve accuracy.
Operate existing engineering tools and support updates or enhancements.
Assist in performing mechanical and structural analysis using FEA or similar tools.
Contribute to development of models using basic principles of statics and dynamics.
Support optimization studies under direction of senior engineers.
Document results, assumptions, and findings clearly.
Collaborate with cross functional teams to support product development.
