Job summary

Array Tech, Inc. is seeking a Systems Engineer to join the Research and Technology team focused on next generation solar tracking systems.

You will assist in evaluating load resistance, stability, and performance of mechanical and structural systems under guidance from senior engineers. You will learn to apply fundamental engineering principles, support design methods, and collaborate with cross-functional engineers to analyze, model, and test tracker subsystems.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering required.
0–2 years of relevant experience; internship or academic project accepted.
Fundamentals of statics and dynamics.
Exposure to FEA or simulation tools.
Python exposure preferred but not required.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to follow structured processes and engineering procedures.
Effective written and verbal communication; ability to work in a team.

Responsibilities

Support development of engineering test plans for tracker systems and subsystems.
Assist with data collection, analysis, and interpretation of test results.
Correlate test data with engineering models to improve accuracy.
Operate existing engineering tools and support updates or enhancements.
Assist in performing mechanical and structural analysis using FEA or similar tools.
Contribute to development of models using basic principles of statics and dynamics.
Document results, assumptions, and findings clearly.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support product development.
Perform other duties as assigned.
