Job summary

Actalent is seeking an Associate Systems Engineer - Software to apply systems engineering to software product definition, including requirements, risk analysis, and testing. You will manage software requirements, risk, configuration, defects, and verification/validation in a regulated environment.

Collaboration with R&D, Marketing, Operations, Quality, and Regulatory teams will ensure alignment with customer needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Biomedical Sciences, or related technical field.
• 0-2 years of experience in Systems Engineering, especially in software integration and testing.
• Knowledge of requirements engineering, tradeoff analysis, risk management, configuration management, and verification/validation.
• Experience in a regulated environment and familiarity with FDA, ISO, and other diagnostic product standards.
• Interest in innovative technologies and understanding of the IVD competitive landscape.

Responsibilities

• Apply Systems Engineering to software product definition, including requirements, risk analysis, and testing.
• Manage software requirements, risk analysis, configuration, defect management, and verification/validation.
• Research industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitive products to enhance software differentiation.
• Collaborate with R&D, Marketing, Operations, Quality, and Regulatory teams to ensure alignment.
• Engage with business leaders and Voice of Customer representatives to align technical solutions with customer needs.
• Analyze complex technical challenges, present solutions, and facilitate informed decision-making.
