Job summary

Torch Technologies is seeking a Junior Systems Engineer for the AFLCMC/HBGW group at Hanscom AFB, MA. You will provide systems engineering support across the acquisition lifecycle, including requirements analysis, design, development, integration, testing, deployment, and sustainment.

Requirements include U.S. Citizenship, a BA/BS degree with 3 years of experience, and an active Secret clearance, plus familiarity with DoD acquisition processes, MBSE, cloud deployment, and system architectures.

Qualifications

• U.S. Citizenship is required.
• BA/BS Degree in related discipline and 3 years of professional experience.
• Experience in requirements development, production and deployment, and operation and support, architectures development & implementation, modeling & simulation including MBSE.
• Experience with network architectures, embedded systems and application deployment including cloud deployment and virtualization.
• Familiarity with DoW Acquisition processes including Technology Maturation, Risk Reduction, EMD, Production and Deployment.
• Familiarity with Electronic Warfare and/or Air Combat operations is desired.
• Familiarity with foreign ground radar.
• Active Secret security clearance required.

Responsibilities

• Provide systems engineering support throughout the acquisition lifecycle, including requirements analysis, design, development, integration, testing, deployment, sustainment, and operations.
• Conduct systems engineering reviews, technical assessments, and trade studies to evaluate system performance, cost, schedule, risk, and technical effectiveness.
• Support the development, maintenance, and management of system requirements, technical baselines, architectures, and interface documentation.
• Translate operational and user requirements into system and subsystem requirements using approved DoD and Air Force acquisition processes.
• Support architecture development and analysis using MBSE and digital engineering approaches.
• Assist with planning and execution of technical reviews (SRR, CDR, TRA).
• Support risk management, configuration management, technical data management, and interface management activities.
• Develop and maintain engineering documentation (SEP, Risk Management Plans, AoA, etc.).
• Conduct engineering analyses for interoperability, cloud deployment, virtualization, and system integration.
