Job summary

Amentum is seeking an engineer to support the Kennedy Propellants and Life Support Services program at Kennedy Space Center, FL. The role involves planning and overseeing research, development, design, manufacture, test, installation, operations and maintenance of electronic equipment and systems within a collaborative design team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field; 0–1 year of related experience or equivalent.
• Strong communication and analytical skills; working knowledge of computer systems and integrated software applications.
• Travel may be required; ability to pass and maintain a security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Perform a range of engineering tasks with supervision including design development, analysis, operation and maintenance instruction (OMI) development and reviews.
• Assist in generation of specifications and engineering data; contribute to design reviews.
• Audit drawing schematics and provide redline updates.
• Create work orders and process workflow using Maximo.
• Coordinate with engineering, logistics, finance, and program management to define system specs and requirements.
• Establish and maintain filing systems or databases for tracking project status.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation and system/subsystem specifications.
• Interface with customers in design reviews and technical working group meetings to meet requirements.
• Verify and comply with engineering documentation standards and test procedures.
• Promote safety with ongoing HSE focus and preventive/corrective actions.
• Keep current on required training.
• Conduct site visits and investigations; propose solutions and recommendations.
• Ensure quality meets customer requirements and expectations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
