Socket.dev seeks an entry-level engineer to join the Kennedy Space Center (KSC) KPLSS II program, performing planning, design, manufacture, test, installation, operations, and maintenance of electronic equipment and systems as part of a design/review team. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related scientific field; 0-1 year of job-related experience.
• Good communications and analytical skills; working knowledge of computer systems and software.
• Ability to travel and pass a National Agency Check with Inquiries (NACI); US citizenship required for restricted access.

Responsibilities

• Perform engineering tasks with supervision, including design development, analysis, operation and maintenance instruction (OMI) development and reviews.
• Assist in generation of specifications and engineering data.
• Audit drawing schematics and provide redline updates.
• Create work orders and process workflow using work management software (Maximo).
• Assist in generation of specifications and engineering data.
• Coordinate with other engineering, logistics, financial, and program management disciplines to define system specifications and requirements.
• Establish and maintain filing systems or databases for tracking project status.
• Develop, maintain, and produce technical documentation and system/subsystem specifications.
• Interface with customers in design reviews and technical working group meetings to comply with requirements and specifications.
• Verify and comply with engineering documentation standards and test procedures.
• Keep current on required training.
• Conduct site visits, experimental investigations, and analyze engineering problems; propose solutions and recommendations.
• Ensure quality of products and services delivered meets customer requirements.
