GreenXT is seeking Junior System Engineers to support their Navy customer in the areas of Cybersecure Hull, Mechanical, and Electrical (HM&E) Control Systems and Networks.

Responsibilities:
- Lifecycle support of the supervisory Machinery Control System (MCS), including:
- Troubleshooting complex problems of current and future fielded systems (microprocessor/Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) based control systems) at Land Based Engineering Site (LBES) and shipboard
- Review of technical documentation related to all variants of fielded and future systems
- Providing test support for all variants of fielded systems at LBES
- Supporting shipboard Software (SW) and Hardware (HW) installation of all variants at LBES
- Providing technical input to future MCS system designs
- Developing and reviewing technical documentation such as requirements, design documents, test procedures, installation procedures, and standard operating procedures
- Providing remote and on-site customer support as needed
Requirements:
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or Computer Engineering
- 0-3 years of experience in control systems within an industrial environment
- Active DoD Secret Security Clearance or ability to obtain one
- Availability to travel up to 20%
- Experience with design, development, and testing of industrial control systems
- Ability to read electrical schematics, diagrams, and drawings
- Experience with industrial control system test tools and diagnostic tools
- Strong documentation skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
- Basic computer/laptop skills, including advanced operations
- Basic knowledge of network troubleshooting tools
- Proficient technical writing skills
- Self-motivated with efficient task completion
- Effective communication within hybrid teams
- Ability to work in industrial conditions, including climbing ladders, aboard ships, and in confined spaces with PPE
- Ability to lift, carry, and transport equipment up to 30 lbs
Desired Skills (not required):
- Knowledge of US Navy Ship Systems
- Experience with Atlassian tools (Jira, Wiki, Confluence)
- Experience with Microsoft Project
- Shipyard and shipboard experience
- Hardware and software installation experience
- Familiarity with IEC 61131-3 standard
- Experience upgrading legacy embedded systems hardware
- Knowledge of ISO/IEC/IEEE standards for systems and software
