Charles IT is seeking a Jr Systems Administrator in Stamford, CT to handle first-level tickets after escalation and build a solid IT foundation for growth. You will set up and decommutate user accounts and devices, troubleshoot basic issues, and provide frontline support to end users.

The role emphasizes customer service, documentation, and teamwork within a fast-paced, client-focused MSP environment. A degree in IT or CS and 2+ years in IT support are preferred.

Qualifications

• An associate or bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field.
• 2+ years of experience working in an MSP, internal IT environment, or a similar technical support setting.
• Preferred certifications: CompTIA A+, CompTIA Network+, Server+, CySA+, MS-900, AZ-900, ISC2 Certified in Cybersecurity

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network issues
• Support operating systems such as Windows, Linux, and macOS
• Manage user accounts using tools like Active Directory
• Assist with software installation, configuration, and troubleshooting
• Provide basic networking support (IP configuration, DNS, VPN)
• Configure, install, and support desktops, laptops, printers, and peripherals
• Coordinate with third‑party vendors and IT teams for repairs, updates, and troubleshooting
• Provide timely, professional support to end users
• Communicate clearly and explain technical issues to non-technical users
• Maintain accurate documentation and time entries
• Build strong relationships with clients and ensure high satisfaction
• Handle user concerns calmly and professionally, including de‑escalation
• Other duties as assigned.

Due to growth, we are currently seeking to add a Jr Systems Administrator to our exceptional team. The Jr Systems Administrator is responsible for taking the first level tickets once escalated to the team.
