Job summary

Trustco Bank is hiring a Junior Systems Administrator to bridge daily IT operations with long-term technology goals. You will work under the guidance of senior IT staff and the CTO to ensure efficient and secure systems.

In this full-time role, you will monitor networks, assist with maintenance, and support end users while growing your skills through training and development programs. Local travel may be required, and a valid driver's license is preferred.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in computer engineering or equivalent required.
• Two+ years experience in all phases of computer operations or IT support.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills essential.
• Well-organized with ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
• Ability to work independently and in teams.

Responsibilities

• Serve as frontline liaison between the Bank and third-party vendors for critical applications.
• Monitor network performance, manage user accounts, and maintain hardware under supervision.
• Execute preventative maintenance and support system security via antivirus updates and access controls.
• Triage and resolve help desk tickets with professional demeanor to keep operations running smoothly.
• Stay current with IT trends and assist in evaluating new tools for the tech stack.
