Job summary

Cayuse Holdings is seeking a Junior Systems Administrator to manage and secure computer systems in a classified environment. You will monitor Windows and UNIX/Linux systems, diagnose issues, and implement proactive solutions to support IT projects.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, foundational admin skills, and a Top-Secret clearance. On-site work in Illinois with opportunities for growth and diverse IT duties are included.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.
• Foundational knowledge of system administration and basic troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with Windows, Linux, or Solaris operating systems.
• Information Assurance certifications such as Security+, A+, or CISSP are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and maintain Windows, Linux, and UNIX systems to ensure uptime.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose system faults; perform root-cause analysis.
• Evaluate and install software; document test results and outcomes.
• Support system upgrades, migrations, and integrations with minimal disruption.
• Prepare system designs, user guides, and test documentation.
