The Cayuse Holdings, LLC Senior Systems Administrator will oversee the deployment, configuration, and optimization of Windows and UNIX systems across multiple projects, ensuring reliability and security.

Responsibilities include monitoring performance, collaborating with vendors, documenting changes, and implementing preventive maintenance to minimize downtime. The role requires DoD 8140 IAT II certifications and Top-Secret clearance, with onsite work in Illinois.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree plus 6–8 years related experience or Master’s Degree plus 2–6 years.
• Experience configuring and administering Windows and UNIX systems (Linux or Solaris).
• DoD 8140-compliant certifications (e.g., IAT Level II).
• Top-Secret Clearance is required.
• Must be able to pass a background check.

Responsibilities

• Oversee setup, configuration, and operations for mainframe, mini, or client/server systems.
• SME in managing Windows or UNIX (Linux/Solaris).
• Plan, implement, and manage custom system solutions to meet needs.
• Monitor, analyze, and optimize system performance and resources.
• Conduct capacity planning to ensure scalability and performance.
• Analyze faults, identify root causes, and resolve issues.
