Job summary

Optimus Technology is seeking a Cloud Systems Engineer to drive deployment of cloud-based solutions with a strong emphasis on functional testing and UAT to ensure system functionality and user experience.

You will collaborate with engineering teams, manage requirements, and develop comprehensive test plans for installation, integration, and acceptance in AWS environments. The role requires agile participation and a focus on security and compliance.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of functional testing frameworks (e.g., Selenium) and UAT processes in agile environments.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS) and automation/CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab).
• Certifications like AWS Solutions Architect Associate or CompTIA Security+ are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Lead System Engineer and cross-functional teams to implement cloud-based systems with emphasis on testing and UAT.
• Manage requirements throughout the project lifecycle ensuring alignment with business needs and standards.
• Develop test plans for installation, integration, and acceptance in cloud infrastructures; document and report results.
• Participate in agile ceremonies to provide systems engineering insights and support iterative improvements.
• Articulate a shared technical and architectural vision for solutions across engineering and stakeholders.
• Assist in troubleshooting cloud system issues, optimize configurations, and ensure security/compliance.

• Collaborate closely with Lead System Engineer and cross-functional development teams to facilitate the implementation of cloud-based systems, emphasizing functional testing and UAT to verify system functionality and user experience.
• Manage requirements throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring alignment with business needs, regulatory compliance, and technical standards.
• Develop comprehensive test plans for installation, integration, and acceptance phases, including documentation, execution, and reporting test outcomes in cloud infrastructures (i.e. AWS).
• Participate in agile ceremonies, such as sprint planning and retrospectives, to provide systems engineering insights and support iterative improvements.
• Communicate a shared technical and architectural vision for solutions developed by product teams, bridging gaps between engineering, development, and stakeholders to foster cohesive system design and deployment.
• Assist in troubleshooting cloud system issues, optimizing configurations, and ensuring scalability, security, and compliance with industry standards (i.e., NIST, ISO, Section 508).
