Job summary

Optimus Technology, Inc. is seeking an IT systems specialist to support, troubleshoot and maintain complex IT environments for our clients. You will manage infrastructure, monitor devices, and resolve issues across servers, storage, networking and mobile endpoints.

The role requires hands-on experience with Linux/UNIX, Kubernetes, Ceph storage, and configuration tools like Puppet and Ansible. You will participate in change control and communicate status to management and customers, contributing

Qualifications

• Experience supporting IT systems and infrastructure.
• Tier 3 problem identification, diagnosis and resolution.
• Hands-on Linux/UNIX administration and large deployments.
• Experience with Ceph storage and Kubernetes environments.
• Familiarity with Puppet and Ansible for configuration management.
• Ability to communicate status to management and internal customers.
• Knowledge of change control processes.

Responsibilities

Job description

Provides support for implementation, troubleshooting and maintenance oof Information Technology (IT) systems. Manages IT system infrastructure and any processes related to these systems. Provides support to IT systems including day-to-day operations, monitoring and problem resolution for all of the client/server/storage/network devices, mobile devices, etc. Provides Tier 3 problem identification, diagnosis, and resolution of problems. Provides support for the escalation and communication of status to agency management and internal customers. Provides support for the dispatch system and hardware problems and remains involved in the resolution process. Experience with Container Technology: Administering large software deployments on LINUX/UNIX systems, administering clustered storage solutions (e.g. storage appliances, Ceph), Kubernetes orchestrated containers, system configuration management software (e.g. Puppet, Ansible) and change control.
