Job summary

Optimus Technology, Inc is seeking a DevOps/Cloud Engineer to assess capabilities, plan cloud transitions, and collaborate with System Administrators to ensure smooth operations. The role emphasizes automation with Ansible and other tools, patch management, and deployments in cloud environments.

The candidate will design and test software changes for cloud transitions and optimize performance and resource utilization across AWS, Docker, and related technologies.

Qualifications

• Experience with cloud transformation projects and transitioning applications to cloud environments.
• Experience with automation and configuration management tools (Ansible, etc.).
• Experience managing systems hosted in virtual environments such as AWS.
• Certifications in DevOps and related technologies are highly desirable.
• Familiarity with Atlassian Tool Suite (Confluence & Jira) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assess existing capabilities and identify opportunities to expand DevOps adoption.
• Develop approaches for transitioning applications into cloud environments as needed.
• Collaborate with System Administrators to plan, prioritize, and coordinate daily activities.
• Leverage Ansible and other automation tools to streamline administration, deployment, and operations.
• Plan, test, and deploy security patches, kernel updates, and software upgrades.
• Design, develop, and test software changes for cloud transitions.
• Develop, test, and coordinate deployment plans for cloud-ready changes.
• Apply cloud engineering expertise to optimize performance, reliability, and resource use.
