Job summary

Daimler Truck North America is seeking a Vendor Scheduler to ensure on-time delivery of purchased components supporting production and distribution. This role manages supplier schedules through EDI and manual scheduling, balances material availability with inventory targets, and helps minimize premium freight while supporting the Consolidation Center, parts distribution, and internal Machining.

The position uses data analytics to identify supply risks, resolve delivery issues, and improve supply

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Logistics, Business, or a related field.
• 0-2 years of relevant experience is required.
• Working knowledge of supply chain planning, material scheduling, inventory management, and supplier delivery concepts.
• Ability to use analytical methods to interpret data, assess performance, and support sound decisions.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to identify root causes and actions.
• Clear written and verbal communication with suppliers and internal teams.

Responsibilities

• Manage supplier schedules and ensure purchased components are available in required quantities and at the required time.
• Analyze and adjust ERP parameters to meet production needs based on demand and lead times.
• Execute and maintain EDI and manual scheduling processes with timely and accurate communication.
• Monitor supplier delivery performance and identify shortages or risks affecting operations.
• Coordinate material flow for Consolidation Center, parts distribution, and internal Machining.
• Balance component availability with inventory-value objectives and premium-freight targets.
• Control on-hand inventory for multiple assembly plants in US and Mexico.
• Collaborate with suppliers and internal stakeholders to resolve delivery issues and recover actions.
• Document supply issues, decisions, and follow-up actions to ensure accountability.
• Identify opportunities to improve lean/six sigma based material flow and scheduling processes.
