Job summary

Daimler Truck North America is seeking a Supply Chain Planning Analyst I to join our Detroit team. You will manage supplier schedules via EDI and manual scheduling, balance material availability with inventory targets, and support production and distribution operations.

Responsibilities include analyzing ERP data, monitoring supplier performance, coordinating material flow for consolidation centers and machining, and driving continuous improvement through lean principles.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field and 0-2 years of relevant experience required.
• Working knowledge of supply chain planning, material scheduling, inventory management, and supplier delivery concepts.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills; ability to coordinate across teams.

Responsibilities

• Manage supplier schedules and ensure purchased components are available in required quantities and time to support demand.
• Analyze ERP parameters to meet production needs based on demand, lead times and other factors.
• Execute and maintain ERP scheduling processes, confirming accuracy and clear communication of schedule requirements.
• Monitor supplier delivery performance and material availability; identify shortages, late deliveries, and risks.
• Coordinate material flow for Consolidation Center, parts distribution, and internal Machining departments.
• Balance component availability with inventory objectives and premium freight targets; escalate risks as needed.
• Support continuous improvement by identifying scheduling, inventory, and issue-resolution improvements.
