Job summary

Osborn Engineering seeks a Junior Structural Restoration Engineer in Detroit, MI to support restoration design and project coordination under the Manager of Structural Engineering. The role involves detailing, calculations, and collaboration with clients on diverse building projects.

The ideal candidate has 0–5 years in concrete or façade restoration, proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit, and a structural engineering degree; PE/SE is preferred.

Qualifications

• 0–5 years of experience in concrete restoration design and/or façade restoration design
• Proficiency with AutoCAD and Revit
• Excellent organizational and communication skills
• Bachelor’s degree and/or Master’s in Structural or Civil Engineering
• PE/SE preferred

Responsibilities

• Knowledge of local and national building codes and design practices
• Preparation of structural integrity and assessment reports of existing buildings
• Design and detailing of structure including calculations and computer modeling
• Manage and coordinate projects with clients
• Prepare cost estimates
• Prepare technical specifications
• Prepare construction documents
