Job summary

Degenkolb Engineers invites applications for an Entry-Level Structural Engineer | Designer position. You will contribute to planning, analysis, and design of structural projects across our U.S.

offices, including Detroit and Grand Rapids, with opportunities for exposure to seismic design on the West Coast and steel design in Michigan. You will work with experienced engineers and project managers, gaining experience through client collaborations, site visits, and multidisciplinary teams.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in structural engineering preferred.
• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering acceptable with 1–2 years of advanced graduate-level work.
• GPA 3.40+ and strong academic performance.
• Proficiency in structural design and analysis tools.
• Ability to work under licensed engineers and collaborate with project teams.

Responsibilities

• Perform structural analysis and design under licensed engineers.
• Prepare contract documents and project deliverables.
• Participate in client meetings and site visits.
• Support project teams with documentation and progress updates.
• Engage in professional development and mentorship.
