Job summary

RRC Power and Energy in Minneapolis, MN is seeking a Structural Engineer I to assist senior engineers with design and analysis of structures for energy projects, leveraging finite element modeling and code-compliant design methods.

You will review drawings, prepare calculations, support project packages, and participate in site visits as needed. A Civil/Structural Engineering degree (ABET) and EIT, with 0–3+ years of experience, are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering from ABET-accredited program; Master’s degree preferred.
• EIT registration required with goal of licensure.

Responsibilities

• Take directions from senior-level engineers and assist with design-related tasks.
• Review project design documents for completion and errors.
• Model structures using finite element analysis for design purposes.
• Review design codes to apply appropriate standards.
• Prepare engineering calculations, technical reports, and construction documents.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary project teams to support project execution.
• Utilize Excel and Word to analyze and communicate design information.
