Job summary

Jacobs is seeking an Entry Level Structural Engineer to join the Federal Buildings team in Fort Worth or Dallas, TX. You will perform structural analyses and assist in the design of new multi-building complexes and renovations of historic structures, under mentorship from licensed engineers.

Responsibilities include learning to communicate structural requirements, developing skills in analysis and design, and contributing to project delivery while balancing schedule, budget, and quality.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Civil or Architectural Engineering from ABET-accredited program.
• Previous internship experience in Structural Engineering.
• Hybrid role requiring 2 days per week in local Jacobs office (Fort Worth/Dallas, TX).
• Citizenship requirement: US citizenship; OPT/visa not eligible.

Responsibilities

• Perform increasingly complex calculations and analysis as the structural design is developed.
• Collaborate with Designers to communicate structural requirements on paper and in the model.
• Develop foundational knowledge of structural analysis and design for vertical and lateral systems in codes and standards.
• Manage own workload with reliability to meet schedule, budget, and quality requirements.
