Job summary

Hatch is seeking a dynamic Junior Structural CAD Designer to support our Tampa, FL office. You will assist with the delivery of project requirements, produce 2D and 3D CAD drawings, perform layout work, and ensure coordination with multiple disciplines.

As a recent graduate or soon-to-be graduate, you will gain valuable on-site experience while working in an in-office environment. This role emphasizes mentorship, safety, and practical, sustainable design practices.

Qualifications

• Recent or soon-to-be college graduates with relevant skills.
• Preferred Associates of Science Degree in CAD.
• Minimum 3.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale.

Responsibilities

• Assist with delivery of project requirements related to scope, quantities, cost, and schedule.
• Produce and maintain technical drawings using 2D and 3D CAD software.
• Perform conceptual layout work and check drawings prior to release.
• Ensure coordination with designers and engineers within the discipline and with other disciplines.
• Perform clash detection of models with other discipline models.
• Participate in formal engineering review processes.
• Verify onsite conditions and dimensions for existing facilities.
• Incorporate safety in design and gain practical on-site experience.
