Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a Junior Public Engagement & Outreach Analyst in Houston, TX to support planning and delivery of inclusive engagement for electric transmission projects. You will build relationships with landowners, communities, public officials, agencies, Tribal representatives, environmental justice communities, and other stakeholders throughout project planning, permitting, construction, and closeout.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in communications, public affairs, public policy, or related field.
• 2–4 years of stakeholder engagement, public affairs, community relations, or communications experience.
• Ability to translate technical project information into clear language for diverse audiences.
• Strong research, organization, and technical writing skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and familiarity with stakeholder databases or GIS-based outreach tools.

Responsibilities

• Conduct outreach using established scripts and protocols.
• Maintain stakeholder databases, action-item trackers, and comment logs.
• Participate in meetings with landowners, communities, agencies, and public officials.
• Apply guidance to identify questions and commitments requiring escalation.
• Develop knowledge of transmission projects, permitting, and engagement practices.
