Overview

Performs day-to-day and period end accounting, general ledger and reporting duties. Prepares reconciliations using the Blackline Reconciliation solution.

Responsibilities

• Prepares daily Federal Reserve Bank reconciliation with management oversight.
• Prepares and posts GL journal entries daily.
• Reconciles all daily non-post activity relating to core applications.
• Performs daily correction of FMS GL non-post transactions.
• Prepares SBA daily funding for movement to the DDA custodial account for sold SBA loans.
• Verifies daily activity flows to RNT related to DDM deposits.
• Performs month-end accounting activities, generates journal entries, analyzes activity, and prepares GL reconciliations with minimal oversight.
• Prepares journal entries for electronic transactions and verifies expense approvals.
• Acts as the contact point with Qwickrate depositors, responds to inquiries, and monitors related GL accounts.
• Records purchase/sale activity in Reportfolio and reconciles investment and borrowing groups in Blackline.
• Backs up fixed asset accounting, including asset additions, disposals, and depreciation, and prepares monthly roll-forward.
• Ensures accuracy and timeliness of reports like FR-2900 and tax payments.
• Maintains accounting files and assists with special projects.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or business administration with up to two years of experience preferred.
• Ability to calculate figures and amounts accurately.
• Proficiency in Excel; experience with core systems preferred.
• Attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and commitment to high standards.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to follow instructions.
