Job summary

You will create finite element models using PATRAN, FEMAP, or MSC/MARC, apply loads, post-process results, and assess margins of safety. US citizenship or permanent residence is required, with a bachelor’s in mechanical or aerospace engineering and at least 1 year of relevant experience.

Qualifications

• US Citizenship or Permanent Resident status required.
• Experience in the space industry or DoD/DoW preferred.
• Bachelor's degree in mechanical or aerospace engineering required.
• Minimum of 1 year of related work experience.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Support structural analysis tasks for NASA/JSC in the Structures Branch.
• Review and understand structural requirements on flight hardware, ground support equipment, and test support.
• Perform classical hand calculations for stress analysis and determine margins of safety.
