Job summary

Bastion Technologies, Inc. is seeking a Junior Stress Analyst to support the space program based in Houston, Texas. The role involves structural analysis on flight hardware, ground support equipment, and test fixtures under NASA standards.

You will create finite element models using PATRAN, FEMAP, or MSC/MARC, apply loads, post-process results, and calculate margins of safety. A bachelor's degree in mechanical or aerospace engineering and at least 1 year of related experience are required.

Qualifications

• Requires a bachelor's degree in mechanical or aerospace engineering.
• Minimum of 1 year of related work experience.
• Familiarity with structural analysis concepts and NASA standards is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support structural analysis tasks for NASA/JSC customer in the Structures Branch.
• Review and understand structural requirements on flight hardware and test support.
• Perform classical hand calculations for stress analysis and determine margins of safety.
