Job summary

Pier Sixty-Six Resort in Fort Lauderdale is seeking a well-rounded Jr. Sous Chef to lead our Cafeteria kitchen team. The role focuses on delivering exceptional team-member dining experiences within an exquisite resort environment.

Reporting to the Executive Chef of Banquets, you will drive culinary operations, recruit and train staff, and implement high standards of food preparation, presentation, and sanitation. Join a hospitality leader dedicated to growth and exceptional service.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; 4 years' experience in culinary, food and Beverage or related professional area.
• 2-year degree from an accredited university in Culinary Arts, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or related major.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate selection, training, development, and evaluation of kitchen staff to meet standards.
• Control labor and operating expenses through planning, budgeting, and inventory management.
• Provide day-to-day leadership for culinary operations and staff performance.
• Ensure safety, sanitation, and food-handling standards are followed by all team members.
• Support and optimize guest service and the dining experience for both internal and external guests.
• Mentor and develop cooks, monitor staffing levels, and drive continuous improvement.
