Job summary

Leidos in Omaha, Nebraska is seeking a Junior Software Test Engineer to join our Agile software teams. You will contribute to verification and validation of mission planning software across the software development lifecycle.

The role requires hands-on testing, development of test procedures, and collaboration with engineers to improve test coverage, defect reporting, and CI workflows using tools such as Jira, Confluence and Git.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in STEM or related field, or 4+ years of experience.
• Experience writing and/or developing test procedures.
• Experience delivering an entire piece of a system or application.
• Knowledge of Agile Development methodologies.
• Experience with version control (Git) and issue tracking (Jira).
• Experience with multiple operating systems (Mac OSX, Windows, Linux).

Responsibilities

• Test all product aspects within the software development lifecycle through delivery.
• Create and run manual testing procedures to evaluate software performance.
• Collaborate with engineers to develop the best technical design.
• Communicate software deficiencies and improvement recommendations.
• Adhere to Agile processes and testing standards using Jira/Confluence/Bitbucket.
