Job summary

NewGen Technologies is seeking a Software Test Engineer to plan and perform testing across the SDLC. The role emphasizes organization, adherence to testing principles, automation, and data validation in complex systems.

You will develop test plans, execute tests including unit, integration, system, and regression, build automated scripts with Selenium, and document defects in Jira while validating data with SQL.

Qualifications

• Experience testing software applications across SDLC; unit, integration, system, and regression testing.
• Proficiency with Selenium, Jira, SQL, and Linux for data validation and troubleshooting.
• Ability to write/maintain basic test scripts and support security/performance testing.

Responsibilities

• Develop, organize, maintain, and execute software test plans, cases, data and results.
• Perform unit-support, integration, system, and regression testing across apps and interfaces.
• Create and maintain automated test scripts using Selenium and basic coding skills.
• Document defects in Jira and use SQL/Linux to validate data and environments.
• Collaborate with developers and Agile/Scrum teams to improve testability and quality.
• Apply security and performance testing practices and document risks and recommendations.
