DS2 is seeking a Junior Software Engineer to support Special Operations with mission-critical software development. You will join a team delivering full life-cycle software solutions to DoW, federal, and commercial clients, emphasizing teamwork and customer-focused outcomes.

You must be a U.S. Citizen and able to complete a U.S. government background investigation. The role offers growth, collaboration, and learning in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a similar technical field.
• Actively programs with one or more of the listed languages: C, C++, C#, Kotlin, Java, JavaScript, or TypeScript.
• Motivated, energetic developer who can manage time and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
• Engages with teammates to plan projects, seek and provide help, and present solutions to clients.

Required Qualifications — We need someone who:

• Has a bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a similar technical field
• Actively programs with one or more of the following languages: C, C++, C#, Kotlin, Java, JavaScript, or Typescript
• Is a motivated and energetic developer that manages time well and can prioritize tasks to ensure projects are completed on time
• Engages with teammates, both virtually and face-to-face, to plan projects, seek out or provide help on issues, as well as present solutions to clients

Preferred Qualifications — Bonus points if you:

• Has a background in developing mission planning applications for USASOAC, with specific focus on supporting the 160th Special Operations Aviation Regiment
• Have experience using Windows Presentation Foundation for .Net Desktop Development
• Have experience using Web frameworks such as React, Node.js, Vue.js, Next.js, ASP.NET, or Angular
• Have any experience developing cross platform applications using Kotlin Multiplatform or .Net MAUI
• Have examples of code or applications you’ve built that we can check out
• Can demonstrate proficiency with AI-Assisted software development workflows
• Received one or more Scrum, Microsoft, Google Developer certifications or any other technical certifications
