Job summary

VTG seeks a Software Engineer to design, develop, and maintain complex software systems in a mission-critical environment. The role emphasizes Linux-based development, system integration, testing, and documentation while collaborating with engineers across disciplines.

Qualified candidates are US Citizens with TS/SCI with Poly, hold a Bachelor's in CS/SE, and have 4+ years of software experience (or equivalent) with Linux. A sign-on bonus up to $10,000 is available.

Qualifications

• US Citizen with TS/SCI with Poly required.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related technical discipline from an accredited college or university.
• Four years of software engineering experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree.
• Demonstrated experience working with Linux operating systems.
• Foundational knowledge of software development principles, methodologies, and best practices.
• Ability to analyze technical requirements and contribute to software solutions.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, maintain, and enhance software applications and systems based on documented requirements.
• Analyze user and system requirements to determine software design specifications and performance objectives.
• Develop new software applications and modify existing code to implement features and functionality.
• Debug, troubleshoot, and resolve software defects to improve performance and reliability.
• Integrate software components into new or existing systems and operating environments.
• Develop and execute software tests to validate functionality, performance, and compliance with design requirements.
• Review components, document test results, and resolve issues.
• Develop basic database queries to retrieve, analyze, and manipulate data.
