Job summary

Align Technology, Inc. in Spain is seeking a Jr. Software Engineer to join the Global Manufacturing Applications team. You will contribute to developing MES solutions and supporting manufacturing operations worldwide.

The role emphasizes Java development, CI/CD, and collaboration with product and process engineering. Ideal candidates have 2+ years in software development and experience in manufacturing environments.

Qualifications

2+ years of software development experience, including 1+ year in Manufacturing Operations.
Experience with multi-tiered and MVP architectures.
Strong Java and OO design capabilities.
Familiar with SDLC and DevOps practices.
Excellent communication and teamwork.

Responsibilities

Develop MES applications and reporting using Java, SQL, PNuts, and related tech.
Build CI/CD pipelines for the MES platform with DevOps.
Support MES integrations using Kafka, Rockwell FTPC, SAP Mii.
Identify system and process improvements and share ideas.
Troubleshoot complex software systems and perform root-cause analysis.
Document deployment notes and ensure accessible knowledge base.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams and end-users via Scrum.
Continuously learn and master manufacturing software development.
Contribute to manufacturing software initiatives and best practices.
