Job summary

Veolia seeks a Junior Manufacturing Software Engineer to develop and maintain manufacturing software and reports, focusing on MES integration and paperless workflows. You will work on applications controlling fixtures or instruments using VC++, C#, Java, and Python, and visualize process metrics with Tableau.

You will spend time on the production floor assisting with troubleshooting, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and contributing to regulatory compliance and productivity

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in software engineering, Information Technology, or relevant degree.
• Minimum 2 years of programming experience, preferably at least 1 year of programming experience in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain software applications and databases that support manufacturing in VC++, C#, Java, Python, MySQL, Tableau.
• Oversee day-to-day administration, monitoring, troubleshooting, maintenance, and ongoing support of the MES system.
• Create documentation for software usage, maintenance, and other requirements.
• Collaborate with management, engineering, manufacturing, and quality teams to design and develop intuitive custom applications to reduce downtime, maintain regulatory compliance, and improve productivity.
• Create and execute advanced SQL queries to produce process metrics, reports, and live dashboards.
• Liaison for manufacturing and Corporate IT for project implementation.
