Job summary

AeroVironment, Inc. is seeking a Software Engineer I (Embedded) in Florida to contribute to design, coding, testing of software for embedded systems and cloud-related tools. In this entry-level, mentored role, you will work within an Agile environment and support the full software life cycle.

You will write modular code, develop unit tests, and collaborate with cross-functional teams while adhering to AV's development processes. This position offers growth and competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required or equivalent education/experience.
• 0–2 years in Windows or Linux application software development.
• Experience with object-oriented design is a must; Qt is a plus.
• Proficiency in C#, C++, Java, and/or Web UI.
• Familiarity with SVN and Git for source control.
• Experience writing unit tests and debugging techniques.
• Strong mathematical and analytical skills.
• Understanding of OS concepts, data structures and databases.
• Willingness to travel locally occasionally.

Responsibilities

• Work within a defined software lifecycle development process.
• Support full product life-cycle from design to maintenance.
• Code, simulate, integrate, test and validate software; write quality, modular code.
• Write unit tests and participate in design reviews.
