Description

We are looking for a Junior Software Engineer to help build and maintain the core components of the Cosmos Hub. This is an opportunity to work on open-source infrastructure that supports one of the world's most widely adopted blockchain ecosystems.

Role Capabilities

• Develop and maintain core components of the Cosmos Hub.
• Write clean, well-documented, and maintainable Go code that improves the developer experience for Cosmos projects.
• Work with senior engineers to implement new features, troubleshoot issues, and optimize performance.
• Participate in code reviews, testing, and debugging to ensure high-quality software.
• Engage with the open-source community, contribute to discussions, and help improve documentation.

Qualifications

Required

• Software engineering experience (academic, professional, or open-source).
• Proficiency in Go or a similar programming language.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a collaborative environment.
• Interest in blockchain technology and the Cosmos ecosystem.
• Time zone requirement: Must be within NYC ± 3 hours for effective collaboration.

Bonus

• Contributions to open-source projects.
• Experience with distributed systems or blockchain development.
• Familiarity with Cosmos development stack (CosmosSDK, CometBFT, IBC Protocol, etc.)
